Darcy, a year-old kangaroo, has found a foster family

ONE OF ST. PETE"S KANGAROOS HAS FOUND A FOSTER FAMILY, A ST.PETE"S TRANSPORTATION COMPANY.

This morning Darcy, a kangaroo born a year ago in the town of Ivanovo, was chewing on some twigs without anticipating any drastic changes in his life. One of St.Pete"s transportation companies with a kangaroo as its trademark decided to take Darcy under its wing.
The similarity, however, is not complete: the orange trademark has a pouch, while Darcy is a male, hence — no pouch for anatomical reasons. Yet the knowledge of kangaroo anatomy is not a must for Darcy"s guardian. The latter"s mission is to finance the well-being of its foster baby, whose photographic portrait will be a constant reminder of foster obligations.
«This is very heart-warming. One"s life cannot be focused on business only; animals are "people" too. And when one has someone to take care of, it"s very good", says Vladimir Baturin, one of Darcy"s guardians.
As soon as adoption came into effect, the businessmen took heed to enter the pavilion, which made adopted Darcy and his two female "roommates" throw themselves against the wall, most likely, they were scared.
Festive buffet lunch was not a total success. The lavish plate for Darcy with familiar bananas and kiwis was decorated with flowers. The zoo caretakers, doubting floral edibility, did not allow unwrapping the bouquet.
Nd yet by all means our kangaroos are lucky: Darcy"s meals from now on will be financed by his sponsors, while his budget ration will go to his two still unadopted "roommates".
